About Us

Mission Statement

At Truth, we strive to provide a unique customer experience rooted in an unwavering commitment to transparency, creativity, and attention to detail; we focus on building lasting relationships with everyone that we work with, whether a client or trade partner, and we do our part to minimize our ecological footprint, and promote justice and equity in our community.

How do we make our mission statement actionable?

  • We donate 10% of our profits annually to charities addressing housing, crisis and climate change including The Denver Basic Income Project (listen to the story on CPR News!), Colorado Village Collaborative, and Together Rising. We encourage our clients to donate more if they can!
  • We deconstruct rather than demolish, use zero VOC paints, LED lights, and donate any re-usable items that we can. We encourage our clients to use sustainable materials and to go solar!
  • We have quarterly volunteer work days
  • We are committed to creating an all electric vehicle fleet (we currently have reservations for the Tesla Cybertruck, and the Ford F150 Lighting)
  • We provide living wages to our employees, as well as health insurance, generous time off, and profit sharing

Truth Design Build is focused on creating a unique and positive experience for home owners. Built with the processes and procedures that mirror large companies, but with the service and individualized care of a smaller company, Truth Design Build's owners have built everything from bathroom remodels to duplexes, restaurants, and custom homes, and can take on just about any job with a focus on clarity, precision, openness, and creativity. Taking a non-traditional route to Design-Build, we can work with any designer or architect. We will generate preliminary estimates before the design begins, and attend all design meetings to guide the project with our experience and expertise to avoid the typical pitfalls that can occur between design implementation, construction feasibility, and cost. Meet The Team

Project Development and Interior Design

Josh grew up 2nd of 5 children in Monterey Bay, CA to parents who were teachers. He studied Literature, Philosophy, and Religion in College, getting his BA and MA at Point Loma Nazarene University before moving to Colorado in 2006. He worked as a teacher, and in the social services field before landing in construction, where he has happily spent the last dozen years. Josh is married and has a blended family of 5 children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading (especially Brene Brown), fitness and nutrition, hiking, and music, and has been a vegan for 18 years. Professionally, he has a knack for systems and process, is detail-oriented, and enjoys coming up with creative designs that are outside the box and serve a mix of form and function.

Justin Luna has had a passion for design and building almost all of his life. He enjoys working with a team of talented craftsmen to design, build and remodel homes. He is proud of the mission of Truth Design Build and is attentive to quality and details.

Justin is also a dedicated husband, married for almost twenty years, and a loving father of four children, two boys and two girls, ages 10-15. He is also a proud owner of a little soft white dog named Gizmo who loves to sit on Justin’s lap or be at his side while he is working. One of Justin’s best qualities is the ability to remain calm during stressful situations. He enjoys hiking and recently started running again with his wife around the lake in the early morning.

Lars Lindquist

Project Engineer

Lars grew up in Arvada, CO. After school he spent 5 years traveling overseas. While traveling he was inspired by the craftsmanship of centuries past and realized the continued need for craftsmanship in our present day, both in great works of art and in the homes of common folks. Lars then trained as a fine woodworker & began remodeling homes full-time in 2016. Professionally, Lars is driven to attend to the details and solve problems preemptively. His primary focus at present is utilizing construction software & technology to better prepare, organize and manage jobs.

Lars is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, reading books, and getting ice cream with his family.

Lead Carpenter

Tadeo has always had a passion for building and creating. This desire led to a degree in mechanical drafting and then later a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. From there, Tadeo spent several years as a Project Manager within the world of mechanical engineering before transitioning back to working with his hands in the field. He loves seeing designs come to life and enjoys the infinite possibilities in combining form and function. In his spare time, you can find Tadeo working on house projects, reading a good book, or enjoying nature.

Client Testimonials

From start to finish we had an great experience with Truth Design Build, LLC. Our project was a full remodel of a late 70's home which needed a full remodel. The project came in on budget and two weeks early. Job was handled in a very professional manner with all change orders detailed and authorized. Sub contractors used were great as well - on time, within budget and managed professionally by Josh & Justine. Absolutely, would recommend Truth Design Build, LLC to friends and family for any project.Read More

Truth Design Build did an incredible job on our recent remodel. This is now the second large project that Josh and Justin have completed for us and we could not be happier with the results. This project included updating all flooring, a bathroom renovation, and a two story fire place design and build. Knowing that the schedule was incredibly tight, they worked diligently to get all the work completed before our move date. Their attention to detail is unmatched and their model is unique in that they provide full transparency on cost from beginning to end.Read More

After shopping around with different builders to construct our new home, we were clear on our top pick after meeting with Justin & Josh. We appreciated their genuine interest in the project and our needs and desires as well as their honest assessment of what fit into our budget, what would not and creative solutions to achieve an outcome to land somewhere in between when it mattered most. Justin and Josh are honest and transparent about the process, managed the various subs well, which was no easy task in the 2018 building boom, and communicated with us in an efficient and timely manner. My husband and I both agreed that working with Josh & Justin was a lot of fun and while we missed them when the job was done we LOVED the house.Read More

We've known both Josh and Justin for some time now, and think highly of them personally, as professionals, and as human beings. They completed a significant remodel for our current home, and the work was completed without exception. Josh is a top notch project manager, who is detail oriented, attentive, approachable and pleasant. Inevitably, in all construction projects challenges arise, ours was no different. I believe it is these moments that true character comes too light, and Josh was an exceptionally professional manager. We have literally not one complaint, or negative spot of feedback to offer. Justin is dedicated, and very skilled craftsmen who among many traits, can react creatively with his skillset. Many examples of this excellence are present in our home, and it would not have turned out the same, without his experience. I believe he would say this work is his passion, and it shows at every step. We cannot compliment their commitment and dedication to the craft enough, and strongly urge you to consider TDB for your project. If this sounds like a loaded review, or one that we've received compensation for, I can assure you in offering our verbal and written confirmation, that we find their work and qualities as faultless as can be. Given the right circumstances, and as further testament to our faith in these two gentlemen, we would consider allowing their future clients to review our project in person.Read More

Josh and Justin provide a service that I've found to be lacking in the residential construction business and that is a high level of customer service while offering a real attention to detail in all of their projects. They provide honest timelines and budgets and do a great job of communication throughout the project; from initial meeting to close-out. I've worked with them personally and professionally and would do so again without question.Read More
