As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for working with your PM to contribute to the job’s success both from a skilled labor perspective and from a big picture implementation perspective. You will oversee an apprentice and sometimes other carpenters and must be able to communicate well and work well with others. As a manager, you will be responsible for conducting monthly one on one meetings with your apprentice to discuss progress, goals, and providing support to ensure they are meeting their goals. You must be able to read and interpret architectural and design drawings, assist trade partners, implement a quality control checklist, and pay attention to the job schedule to ensure everyone on site stays on target.
